After leaving our work site Friday afternoon we had to drop off a key from the room we had been staying in. Pastor Carr thanked us again for coming to help out and invited us back. Sharon talked to the group leader of the Hilliard ERT and we may possibly be making a return trip in September. We headed down to the DuBois YMCA to shower before we started home to Ohio. It just so happened that there was an ice cream shop near the Y so of course we had to have a cone for the road. We arrived at my house a little before 9 feeling pretty grateful for a home free of soggy, wet flooring and the smell of mold and mildew. I am so glad that I went through the ERT training, it is a very rewarding volunteer activity.
Now we are gearing up for our School Supply and Backpack Give-Away coming up August 7th and 10th. We hope to have over 100 backpacks ready to go by then.
