Tuesday, February 9-Death Valley

After a snowy start leaving Columbus we landed in Las Vegas and drove to Pahrump, Nevada. We decided to drive into Death Valley National Park and spent some time walking out onto the salt flats and driving the Artists Drive loop road. Many of the spring wildflowers were blooming which brightened the otherwise barren landscape with pops of color. Tomorrow we will be driving back through the park on our way to Ridgecrest, California.
