Kayaking on Secret Island Beach |
View of Secret Island Beach from our glass bottom boat |
This glass bottom boat took us out over the reef |
Lily & Mommy in a kayak |
Luke on a paddle board |
I'm pretty sure Luke was thinking about a leap into Sharon's kayak |
Evelyn enjoyed the shade playing on a blanket while we played in the water |
Several mongoose were seen in the park, I think they were the clean up crew |
Flat bottom boats took us to the island |
Floating port-a-johns, yes, I tried it out |
Today we had reservations at the Kualoa Ranch to spend 3 hours on Secret Island. We got there a little early and had time to visit the public beach at China Man's Hat before going across the street to Kualoa Ranch to catch the tour bus that took us to the boat launch to go over to the island. I think that perhaps this is one of Oahu's best kept secrets as it was a wonderful afternoon for a mere $17. We had the use of wonderful picnic facilities, paddle boards, kayaks, snorkel gear volleyball and ping pong. They also had a catamaran that went out over the reef to look for Honu (turtles). The boat had a glass bottom for great viewing as we passed over the reef. We didn't really see a lot but it was great fun. We are pretty tired again so I will bid everyone a wonderful nights sleep and lots of Aloha
