Finally in Honolulu at Sara and Matt's place. So glad to be off the plane!
Here we are burning off excess energy at the Atlanta airport waiting on our flight to Honolulu.
The things we do to save $10 bucks on taxi fare. Trish and Sharon riding in the back of the pick up with the luggage. The 3 car seats took up all of the room in the back seat.
Lily was so glad to see "Bebe Evelyn" that she applied a headlock and we were waiting to see if she turned blue!
And Shorty was just as glad to see Lily.
We arrived in Atlanta around 9 a.m. and it wasn't long before we met up with Trish and Luke and Lily. Although they had been up since 3 a.m. and their flight left from Philadelphia at 6, the kids were wide awake and ready to go. We did relay races to try and wear them out before our flight to Honolulu left at 10:50. They were really good, Luke occupied himself by watching the movies on the plane and playing on his Ipad. Lily was a little more difficult to keep entertained as a 2 year old isn't much to stay in one spot for very long. But all in all they handled the 9 1/2 hour trip better than some adults and thankfully they did sleep about 3 hours early in the flight. We were met by Sara and Evelyn at the airport and to save taxi fare Sharon and Trish rode in the back with the luggage. Luke pouted a little when we arrived at Sara's home because he didn't get to ride in the back. The kids really enjoyed playing with Evelyn and today we are going down to the Hale Koa where Trish is staying (it's the military hotel in Waikiki) and go to the beach and swim in the pool. Aloha until next post!
