Sunday, September 14-Maine

Today we began yet another traveling adventure. At 6a.m. (almost), Sharon and I headed off towards Bar Harbor, Maine. We headed north on I-71 towards Cleveland and then picked up I-90 to Buffalo then east to Albany, New York. We arrived at our Super 8 motel at 4:30 right after the Brown's were able to pull off an unlikely win over the Saints. We were listening to the game and were so excited when they sacked Drew Brees out of field goal range that we missed our turn and had to find our way back to the interstate all the while trying to listen to our navigation voice and the game announcers simultaneously. We preceded uneventfully to our motel after the game was over. We ate supper at the Denny's next to our Super8, which neither was that super but were both clean and friendly so we were content.

Today we were up at 5 and although we anticipate a long drive we are sure to be treated with some spectacular scenery as we make our way through Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine. Hopefully I will have some killer photos to add this evening.

Bar Harbor from Cadillac Mt

We arrived in Bar Harbor around 5:30 p.m. today, Monday the 15th. The drive through Vermont and New Hampshire was very scenic but the roads were pretty narrow and we didn't make the best time. We did have enough time to drive to the top of Cadillac Mountain to watch the sunset after we checked in at the Eden Village motel and cottages. Following the spectacular sunset we spent several hours in Bar Harbor checking out the shops. Our favorite? The ice cream shop of course!
