Our hard working white ibis |
This morning I spent about 20 minutes watching a white ibis fishing around the pond behind our condo. After breakfast we took Betty to Bealls for her shopping fix. We all found treasures that we really didn't need but bought them any way. We ate lunch at the condo and sat out in the sun for a while before leaving for Marco Island. Tonight was our sunset cruise on the Marco Island Princess. We boarded the boat around 4:15 and went to our assigned table while the rest of the passengers came on board. At 5 we pulled away from the dock and headed out into the bay. We made our way through the many canals viewing all of the million dollar homes that we could only dream of owning. We saw several nesting osprey. Sharon and I had been out on the back deck but realized that Andy and Betty were already eating their salads. Of course neither of them seemed to think about telling us. The only bad part about the cruise was that the lower deck went through the buffet line first and by the time we started eating the sun was setting so we had to decide, eat or take pictures. Andy and Betty ate. Sharon and I took pictures. We topped off the evening with a slice of key lime pie.
