Lighthouse

Beach "From Here to Eternity"

The Pineapple Express at the Dole Plantation

Taking the pig out of the pit at the luau!
Very tasty!!

We just returned home from our luau at Paradise Cove. It was really pretty there and the food, other than the poi, was very good too. After eating there was a show with lots of island singing and dancing. We are pretty tired so I am going to make this short. We began our day at 5 am by going to Hanauma Bay to snorkel. The tide was a little lower this time but I think we saw a bigger variety of fish. The best part was that Sharon and I saw a sea turtle. We are crossing our fingers that our pictures on our underwater cameras got at least a few good pictures. After snorkeling, Matt drove us up the coast to see the beach where they filmed "From Here to Eternity" and we did a rather lengthy 1 mile hike uphill to see a lighthouse. We also visited the Dole Plantation on the way to the Luau. Needless to say, we are ready for bed.

Sharon has a special request. Anyone reading this blog who lives in the South-Western City School District, please remember to go out and vote on Tuesday, Aug. 4th FOR Issue 2.
This issue is very important to all of OUR kids, OUR schools, and OUR community.
MAHALO (THANK YOU)!!

  1. There is 1 finger poi and 2 finger poi. 1 finger when you put it in your mouth and 2 finger to pull it back out. Was that the Germaine luau, it looked like it. Ronnie G

I hope your under water pictures come out and hope you eat some of the pineapples. A friend brought one back for me last year and it was the best I ever had. Keep enjoying yourselves.I look forward to more pictures and exciting stories. Love you, Christine Bichler
