Sunday, June 8

Thought I should take a few minutes to update the blog.  Guess we have been so busy keeping up with the yard work that I lost track of time.  We have finished most of the heavy lifting, pulling and pushing of patio stones, mulch and sand and gravel so I feel like I actually have a little time to breath.  Last week we even got the pool open before it was full of tadpoles like last year.  The water is still cold but it is clear.  Mr. B has been diligent about keeping the yard mowed which helps out enormously and he has been great about tilling and weeding the garden, a first since his accident.  Before he would excitedly help to get the garden planted but seldom did much else.  It is great to see progress still after 5 years out!  Last week end Matt, Sara and Evie came up and we did a little kayaking at Madison Lake.

This past week end I drove to Cincinnati to visit and while we were there Sara and I went to visit a good friend of hers and a former basketball player and student of ours.  Several weeks ago she had a devastating stroke which she thought was a migraine.  After a 5 1/2 hour surgery to remove blood clots she is now recovering at home.  She looked incredible and although she still has much therapy and recovery ahead we once again praise God for his blessings.  Keep her family in your prayers.
I can't believe Luke will be a 1st grader next year!!  They grow up way too fast!
Way to go, Luke!!
Yesterday at Sharonwoods Metro Park in Cincy

Taking a little pedal boat ride on the lake at the park
My next post will have a few new pics of the Heart of Africa exhibit at the Columbus Zoo, hopefully within the next week.
