Laishley Crab shack

Andy enjoyed his root beer float, the shopping....not so much!
Punta Gorda was today's destination.  Sharon was visiting a friend she had taught with who now lives in Sarasota.  We met at Laishley's Crab Shack located right on the Peace River.  We had coconut shrimp and hush puppies as appetizers and I had a grilled grouper sandwich with sweet potato fries and Andy had a cheeseburger and fries.  Betty had fish and chips and Sharon split a cheeseburger with her friend, Elaine.  After a nice visit we took Betty shopping at Fisherman's Village and we also had some ice cream.  Everyone left happy.  We drove around and found another Plan with Tan property that Sharon belongs to and we visited Ponce de Leon Park.  We drove the hour back to our condo and everyone is just chilling before we eat.  Tonight the menu includes any and every thing left in the refrigerator and or pantry.  The weather is cooling off again so we are not completely sure what will be on the itinerary tomorrow but I'm sure it will be better than anything we would be doing back in Ohio.

Ponce de Leon Park in Punta Gorda
These statues reminded me of Luke's Imaginex play figures.
The small nature walk over this inlet and through a mangrove forest.
Pretty sure this is an immature black-crowned night heron.

Ring-billed Gull
Another Spaniard action figure!
